Fame
Some people obtain fame, others deserve it.
If you come to fame not understanding who you are, it will define who you are.
I’m never going to be famous. My name will never be writ large on the roster of Those Who Do Things. I don’t do any thing. Not one single thing. I used to bite my nails, but I don’t even do that any more.
You’ve been gone so long from all that you know. It’s been shuffled aside as you bask in the glow. All the beautiful strangers who whisper your name, do they fill up the emptiness? Larger that life is your fiction, in a universe made upon one.
Well, there was a time I would have
Hung around just to be seen
Hey man, it’s a shame when you start to fade
Diamond rings and sparkly things
Won’t make your shine stay
Don’t confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other.
I won’t be happy till I’m as famous as God.
I always thought I should be treated like a star.
With fame, you know, you can read about yourself, somebody else’s ideas about you, but what’s important is how you feel about yourself – for survival and living day to day with what comes up.
Fame is fickle and I know it. It has its compensations, but it also has its drawbacks and I’ve experienced them both.
I’m not going to be somebody who wants to hold on to my fame for the rest of my life.
I don’t think I realized that the cost of fame is that it’s open season on every moment of your life.
The fame you earn has a different taste from the fame that is forced upon you.
I’ve never sought success in order to get fame and money; it’s the talent and the passion that count in success.
Fame means millions of people have the wrong idea of who you are.
Fame is also a test of character at times… Sometimes I pass the test; sometimes I’m a pain in the ass. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh, God! I just want to buy some tampons!
The woman who can create her own job is the woman who will win fame and fortune.
